Elise has extensive experience of teaching various art & design disciplines within further and higher education from level 3 - level 7.

Elise embarked on her teaching career upon graduation from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in 2007. She has worked for prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Art and University of the Arts London.

Elise is knowledgeable on all areas of teaching, learning and assessment and has been involved with writing course specifications for awarding bodies. She holds a Certificate in Education from the University of Plymouth and spent many years running courses at Exeter College in Devon, an Ofsted Outstanding College.

As well as teaching on academic courses, Elise has worked with schools and community groups. This included students with physical and learning needs, Elise enjoying assisting students to thrive in their creativity, overcoming any perceived barriers.

Elise has a wealth of technical knowledge not only of ceramic processes but also sculpture, wood, metal, glass, printmaking and drawing.

In addition to art and design, Elise is also an experienced maths teacher and is a specialist in embedding maths in creative teaching. She has designed and delivers teacher training on this subject for the University of the Arts London Awarding Body. More information about the training can be found here. Success with this unusual combination of teaching led to Elise being interviewed by Ofsted for a 'Best Practice' video in 2015.
